Your Backyard Pond Can Make A Difference in Minnesota
You may think that one pond in one backyard may not seem very important, but when you have a thousand similar backyard ecosystems functioning simultaneously, there’s an incredibly positive impact being made on the environment. Together, we can restore habitats for turtles, frogs, toads, newts, salamanders, butterflies, all of whose numbers have been declining sharply for many years now. Birds have also been driven from many of their natural wetland habitats, which they so desperately need to survive. So at a grassroots level, as more and more people embrace the pond lifestyle, our impact on the environment grows. At Superior Ponds, we are excited to be a part of building additional water habitats and contributing to the biodiversity in our stressed suburban environments around Minneapolis and the Twin Cities.
